Software for managing and monitoring devices

Digital Planet develops systems for managing, automating and monitoring lighting, vending machines, batteries, machinery and other equipment.

We connect physical devices to convenient software that lets you control them, monitor their condition and get the important information on one screen. We can integrate existing equipment or supply the necessary hardware after a preliminary technical assessment.

Depending on the requirements of the project, the system can run locally, on the client's own server or in a cloud environment. The solutions below are actually developed and in operation, and the images show their real interfaces.

Smart lighting system controlled from a phone

You control every light from the phone — switching on and off and adjusting the brightness. You can combine the lighting into groups and save ready-made scenes for dinner, a film, night lighting or leaving the home.

The system runs over the local Wi-Fi network, with no mandatory external cloud service. Local control carries no monthly fee and there is no mobile app to install.

Software for remote management of vending machines

We connect the existing coffee and vending machines into a single system for remote monitoring and management. From one control panel you see which machines are working, which need restocking and what sales they have made.

This reduces unnecessary visits and gives you up-to-date information about every connected machine. The data can be stored on your own server or in infrastructure provided by Digital Planet.

Battery monitoring and early diagnostics system

The software monitors the charge, temperature, overall condition and voltage of every cell in the battery system. Deviations can be detected in time, before they lead to damage or downtime.

All installations are monitored from a common control panel. The data is stored with history, which allows the indicators to be tracked and compared over time.

How we connect your equipment to software

1.Technical analysis

We clarify the type of devices, the available interfaces, the data that has to be monitored and the functions you want to control.

2.Development and integration

We build the control panel, user access, notifications, automations and the necessary connection between the software and the equipment.

3.Deployment and testing

We configure the system, test it with the real devices and provide the necessary technical documentation and support.

Do you have a device you would like to manage more easily?

We can develop software for remote control, monitoring, automation, notification and data analysis. We work with both new and existing equipment, after a preliminary check of technical compatibility.

The hardware can be provided by the client or included as part of the complete solution.

Frequently asked questions

What is device management software?

It is a system that connects physical equipment to a web or mobile interface. Through it you can control the devices, monitor their condition and receive notifications and data.

What does IoT mean?

IoT means “Internet of Things”. These are physical devices connected to software and a network — for example lighting, vending machines, batteries, machinery and sensors. In practice you get one screen for controlling and monitoring them.

Can you connect existing equipment?

Yes, when the equipment has a suitable interface or allows the necessary controllers and sensors to be added. This is determined after a technical analysis.

Can the system work without internet?

Yes, certain functions can work locally without an external internet connection. For remote access, synchronisation and notifications, internet is usually required.

Where is the data stored?

Depending on the project requirements, the data can be stored locally, on the client's server or in a cloud environment provided by Digital Planet.

Do you supply the necessary hardware?

We can work with the client's hardware or supply the necessary devices, controllers and components as part of the project.

How is the price determined?

The price is determined after a technical analysis and depends on the number and type of devices, the required integrations, the control functions, user roles and the way the data is stored.

Do you work with clients outside Sofia?

Yes. Digital Planet is based in Sofia and develops software solutions for clients across Bulgaria. A large part of the analysis, development and support can be carried out remotely.
